Christmas Prelude in the Kennebunks

Kennebunkport's Christmas Prelude started in 1982 and is held on the first two weekends of December. Some of the events include a tree lighting ceremony, holiday shopping specials, historic tours, open houses in historic homes, a bonfire, live music celebrations, a craft fair and free meals throughout festivities. Events are scattered throughout Cape Porpoise, Lower Village, Dock Square and other area venues.
